Megatron reads from the Covenant of Primus as the Decepticon ship looms over Optimus Primal and Tigerhawk, letting loose its destructive firepower. Optimus Primal and Tigerhawk hide behind a group of boulders, firepower exploding around them. Finally, Optimus is enraged and lifts off, transforming into his air guardian mode to take on the powerful Nemesis. Tigerhawk quickly follows behind and the two unleash their own firepower on the ancient battleship. Tigerhawk uses his wing mounted gatling guns while Optimus fires his dual barrelled cannons. This attack does little but amuse Megatron, who pushes a few switches revealing a series of rockets and missiles on the side of the Nemesis! Optimus Primal and Tigerhawk are undaunted. They continue their own barrage, but when the missiles begin to fly, Optimus Primal tries to dodge them. He is successful at first, but one homes in on him and hits him! As Optimus Primal falls to the ground below, Megatron is happier than ever. He continues the barrage of firepower, explaining that destruction is "good for the spark". This prompts Dinobot to explain that his spark is changing, and feels different...more whole. Megatron comments that this is most likely because of Rampage's destruction. He orders the ship to come around for another assault. Tigerhawk and Optimus Primal meet up, once again seeking cover from the Nemesis. Tigerhawk tells Optimus Primal to return to the Maximals and prepare them for the attack by Megatron. He explains that if the Autobots and Decepticons in the Ark are destroyed, then the Beast Wars will be in vain. Optimus Primal protests, telling Tigerhawk he cannot fight the Nemesis alone. Tigerhawk acknowledges this, but he also knows that it is already foretold in the Covenant of Primus that he must try. Tigerhawk takes off after the Nemesis as Optimus Primal rushes back to Maximal base. Meanwhile, at Maximal base, the Maximals are rushing to get all their equipment into the Ark. Rattrap is protesting since he has so much to move (among them a collection of Waspinator parts). Rhinox explains that the Maximals may have to try to move the Ark to keep it safe from the Nemesis. Meanwhile, Tigerhawk begins his attack on the Nemesis. Using his powers, he summons a lightning storm over the Decepticon ship, causing the ship to rock and circuit panels to fuse. Megatron is enraged as Tigerhawk flies around the ship, guiding where the lightning will impact. Tigerhawk does not destroy the ship, but he does manage to damage it enough that the ship's primary weapon, the fusion cannon is drained. Dinobot gives Megatron an estimate of damage and the Predacon leader is enraged! As Tigerhawk's barrage continues, Dinobot mutters about how honorable and noble Tigerhawk's one man stand is. Megatron is unimpressed and diverts all the ship's power to the fusion cannon. He manages to lock onto Tigerhawk and begins blasting the Maximal with a fusion cannon blast. Tigerhawk counters with a powerful blast of his own however! He struggles against the Nemesis' power, and for a moment, it appears as if he could win. But ultimately, the Decepticon ship prevails, sending Tigerhawk to his ultimate doom. As Optimus Primal arrives at Maximal base, he tries to radio Tigerhawk. When there is no response, he knows that he has lost another comrade to Megatron's ambitions. He yells in anger as he smashes his fists against the outer door of the headquarters. Elsewhere, Inferno and Quickstrike continue their attack on the human village. Inferno muses about how pleased Megatron will be, when suddenly the human leader appears, weapon in hand to fight them. The confrontation is cut short however as the Nemesis arrives! Inferno and Quickstrike try to get Megatron's attention, but it quickly becomes clear that their leader has no intention of picking them up as the fusion cannon charges! Onboard the Nemesis, Dinobot watches the human's posturing on a screen and finds the whole scene hauntingly familiar. He suddenly flashes back to the original Dinobot's fight against the Predacon forces from "Code of Hero" and stops Megatron's hand from hitting the button to fire the cannon. He asks Megatron where the honor in killing defenseless humans is. Megatron becomes infuriated at Dinobot's use of the "h" word. Dinobot relents and apologizes, saying that he only meant the power of the Nemesis would be better served against the Maximals. Megatron notes the suggestion and ignores it as he begins blasting the human village. The humans run for it, but Quickstrike and Inferno are caught in the blast. Meanwhile at the Ark, Optimus Primal asks for a status report. Rhinox tells him that the ship has been off line too long and will most likely not be able to fly. Optimus insists it must, just as the Decepticon battleship begins looming over the volcano. Megatron orders the fusion cannon fired, but Dinobot explains it needs more time to charge. Megatron decides to go with an alternate plan and begins to use a powerful tractor beam on the volcano! Inside the Ark, Rattrap suddenly begins floating off the ground, along with everything else! As rocks begin floating up towards the Nemesis, it crushes them with grinders built into its underbelly! Optimus Primal cannot stand by and do nothing. He flies up towards the Nemesis, dodging boulders and rocks all around him. Suddenly, one hits him and knocks him out. He falls onto a rock, unconscious and heading towards the grinders! Optimus awakens on time however, and manages to fly through the grinders (with some minor damage) and get into the Nemesis. Inside the Nemesis, Optimus Primal finds Megatron and the two begin their final battle. As they fight, the Maximals try to get the Ark to fly. Blackarachnia believes she has reached a solution, but it fails and the Ark's engines sputter, unable to lift off the mighty vessel. Finally, Megatron knocks out Optimus Primal and the fusion cannon is charged! Dinobot contemplates the situation, finding little sport in it. Unbeknownst to Megatron, he sends a signal to the Maximals and they see the image of an Autobot shuttle inside the Ark! The Maximals now have a weapon to use against the Nemesis and quickly go to activate the shuttle. Meanwhile, Optimus Primal manages to wake up just in time to hear Megatron order the fusion cannon to full power. Megatron, in his dragon mode blasts Optimus with his powerful flames, knocking down Optimus Primal again. Meanwhile, the Maximals have activated the shuttle and Rhinox mans the controls, launching the old Autobot ship. Megatron orders Dinobot to fire the fusion cannon and destroy the Maximals, but Dinobot refuses. Megatron does not understand why his creation is disobeying his order. Optimus does however. As he watches the scene, he remembers Dinobot's death. Dinobot explains his honor does not allow such an action and Megatron is enraged, quickly throttling Dinobot and throwing the traitor away. He never manages to get to the controls however. Rhinox suddenly comes crashing through the window and slamming into Megatron. The shuttle crashes through the other side, causing equipment everywhere to begin exploding. Optimus escapes, but Dinobot is engulfed by the explosions, once again giving his life for the future. The Nemesis begins to erupt in explosions everwhere as it drifts off into the distance, to crash into parts unknown. Back in the Ark, Optimus Primal rips the original Megatron's spark out of Megatron and puts it back into the body of its rightful owner, and all is as it should be, at last... The Autobot shuttle is ready and the Maximals prepare to return to Cybertron. As they liftoff and remember their fallen comrades, Megatron is strapped to the outside of the shuttle, screaming all the way home. Meanwhile, at a human village, the humans celebrate the end of the Beast Wars and we see that the remains of Inferno and Quickstrike have been put to good use. On a nearby throne sits Waspinator, happy at last... THE END
